This volume is the result of a detailed research into ancient archives to obtain documents and images that relate the design and construction of a road up the western shore of Lake Garda. Gabriele d’Annunzio, Turati and Cozzaglio all played important parts in building a roadway round the lakeside that would not disturb its natural beauty.
