It would be difficult, if not impossible, to establish which was the first bus and who was its inventor. However, we do know that a bus is a hybrid public transport vehicle that links the mechanics of a lorry to the bodywork of horse-drawn cabs, trams and railway carriages.
One has only to observe its continuous metamorphoses in order to write the history of the bus, the beginnings of which date back to the first decade of this century when the thoroughfares were abound with automotive road vehicles for the general transport of the public.
